Monday: Students played "Ayiti" online twice and recorded their game observations on the "ayiti reflection" (#4). If they had time, they studied for their map quiz playing the following games: Latin America Physical Features and Latin America Countries.
Tuesday: Students created Mnemonic devices to help them memorize the countries in central america & south america. Then they read 1 of 3 readings about Latin America's cultures and worked together in a group to fill in a Venn Diagram about Latin America. (#5, 6, &7)
Wednesday: Students took notes on Latin America Today and watched "Brazil:Revealed" to learn more about this diverse country. If you need to watch the video, there is a shorter version on youtube: "Brazil Revealed Short Stories"
Thursday & Friday: Students worked on their Latin America project for the full 2 periods. Students who didn't finish may turn it in late on Monday for 20 points off.
