Monday -- No school
Tuesday -- Students received a class syllabus. The last page should be filled out and returned by Friday. Students also labeled a map of the physical features of the Ancient World (map here) (quiz Friday).

Wednesday -- Students practiced reading a timeline (timeline powerpoint), created a personal timeline (assignment here), and had time to work on their timeline homework (assignment here) in class.
Thursday -- Students took notes on the 5 characteristics of a civilization (notes page here , powerpoint here). Then they began work on their "create a civilization" travel brochure (directions here).
Friday -- Students took a quiz on the Ancient World Map, turned in their homework, and turned in their travel brochure.
